In addition to promoting St. Alphonsus’ teachings on podcasts and radio shows, I conduct workshops, lead small groups, and speak at Catholic parishes and schools across the country. My second book, 'Navigating the Crisis in the Church: Essays in Defense of Traditional Catholicism' was published on October 27, the Feast of Christ the King.

Wrote email copy, drafted white papers, created a voter guide, and overhauled a website aimed at mobilizing Catholics to vote. Also ghostwrote a chapter on Catholic moral teaching in a free e-book.

Tasmania, Australia (Remote)

Taught political philosophy to Benedictine monks living at Notre Dame Priory in Tasmania, Australia. Reading assignments included Aristotle's Politics, St. Augustine's City of God, and St. Thomas Aquinas' De Regno, among others. The course met for two hours on Zoom once a week for five weeks.

Contributed 3-5 opinion articles per week on a variety of topics, including religious liberty, abortion, the 2020 Democratic primary race, and Christianity.

Holland, Michigan

Upward Bound/TRiO is a federally funded, six-week summer program for young adults. I taught courses on American government, community development, and career exploration to Hispanic and African-American students that attended area high schools.

Produced a daily news segment and hosted a podcast titled "Church & State with Stephen Kokx." Personally interviewed dozens of Catholic writers, speakers, and theologians on an assortment of topics. Acted as editor of the daily Magnificat Media newsletter and fundraising appeals.

Taught PSCI 111: Intro to American Government and CSS 100: College Success Seminar for MCC's Social Studies and College Success Center. CSS 100 promotes academic and personal success for those who are new to higher education.

Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States

Taught PS 110: Survey of American Government for GRCC's Social Science Department and CLS 100: Introduction to College, a First Year Experience course aimed at acclimating freshman students to the college environment. Course topics included personal finance, job interviewing skills, and more.

Analyzed current events and pop culture from a Catholic perspective. Wrote about faith and sports, Biblical marriage, conservative politics, and all things related to the Catholic Church. Also wrote book reviews and interviewed several Catholic authors.

Provided after school tutoring in math, reading, chess, and literature to low-income students in grades 5 through 8
