Special Project, iota OneBox: Development of an IoT pressure sewer controller for a utility-owned R&D subsidiary. Operating as the lead electronics engineer, supporting systems engineer, regulatory coordinator, technical writer, and pre-production coordinator, I was instrumental in the delivery of this project. Our team delivered a successful outcome within constrained timelines meeting aggressive cost targets. Operating as the lead electronics engineer, and supporting in the systems development and system implementation, I played a crucial role in the successful development of this system. Working with an international team, and many different project stakeholders, we made this project a huge success for our customer. The electrical safety aspects of this system have been checked off. Industrial & Medical: Key member of the electronics team, undertaking engineering tasks in lean new product development environment for a range of products including; swimming pool chlorinators, arc erosion power supply, transformer monitoring system, train radio interface unit, TENS medical device, and patient continence monitoring device.Special Project, arc erosion power supply: Drove the program as lead engineer and project manager. Utilised internal and external resources to deliver a working system on very aggressive schedule. Exposure to EMC, safety, communications, environmental standards and standards frameworks, proprietary standards, and working groups for NBN standards development.Manufacturing: Performed QA batch testing for off-shore manufactured shipments. Responsible for local manufacturing of custom products including: telephone recording devices, communications accessories, robust community telephones, and one-off produced systems. Configured manufacturing product lines, and developed new production processes to maximise product quality and consistency.
