About Stephen Leckie

My family founded Crieff Hydro over 150 years ago. Now Scotland's leading Leisure Resort, it offers over 200 bedrooms; 55 self-catering lodges, free childcare, many food outlets and dozens of indoor and outdoor leisure activities spread out over our 900 acre estate. This unique combination also makes Crieff Hydro a popular destination for conferences and events.According to the latest Scotland the Best guidebook, Crieff Hydro is “a national institution, very much a family business and a truly great family hotel that moves with the times. They strike the perfect balance between relaxation and activity. In every way they do Scotland proud.”Over the last decade our family has grown – offering a warm welcome from Peebles in the South to Glencoe in the North. In all these hotels we want our guests and team members to be making memories.I’ve had a longstanding conviction that our hotels are just one part of a bigger picture of Scottish tourism and the wider economy to which our industry is such a major contributor. As such we can’t operate in isolation and playing a role with organisations like the Scottish Tourism Alliance and more recently VisitScotland means I can contribute to the national picture and play a wider part in the growth of the visitor economy.
