Stephen is a chartered engineer, designer and natural team leader with more than 23 years post-graduate industry experience. Within the Buildings sector, Stephen led engineering input to the design of high-profile and complex projects such as the BBC Scotland HQ in Glasgow, Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg and the Ferrari World theme park in Abu Dhabi. Stephen also has experience in the design of a wide-range of small and medium-sized buildings, particularly within the Arts & Culture, Heritage, Community and Industrial Sectors.Within the Energy sector, Stephen has supported contracts for Wood Group, leading teams of up to 12 technical staff for the BP Andrew Area Development Project, providing consultancy services to Wood Group's ‘PD+’ In-House Engineering Studies Group, and leading the electrical engineering input for the Shell Brent Decommissioning Project (Brent Alpha and Brent Delta), the Shell Integrated Services Contract, and the Enquest EPC Contract. Stephen currently owns and manages Ardler Engineering Design, a multi-disciplinary engineering studio he established in 2011. He remains integral to project engineering with a multi-disciplinary overview. Ardler's client list includes The R&A, Alleima, Brenntag, Dundee United Football Club, The National Trust for Scotland, Forestry & Land Scotland, Kelda Water Services, Shell, 71 Brewing, Bell Ingram, Wood Group, Enquest and Enpro Subsea.
