I am a fractional or interim chief AI/data product officer specialising in helping companies bring AI, data and product together for value creation. I work with companies to: * Identify how data and AI is part of the value creation strategy* Bring data, AI and product together in a focused delivery approach* Lead the business change to realise the value from the AI/data investment. I've worked with PE and later-stage VC firms such as: the Canadian Pension Plan, Sovereign Capital and Elderstreet Draper. In addition, I've worked with private companies such as Pageant Media (now With Intelligence) and Dorling Kindersley (part of Penguin Group). I have also worked with the Southbank Centre, NHS/DH and Anthony Nolan. In the past, I worked as a consultant and "intrapreneur" leading digital transformations, innovating new data products and leading post-deal transitions for mergers and spinouts. Over the last 30 years, I have been part of the digital revolution: from coding web pages for a bookstore in San Francisco in 1995 to being interim chief data officer for the Trafford Centre in Manchester UK. I have a BA in communications from Temple University and a PhD in Law from Birkbeck, where I developed a pardigmatic framework to analyse the disruptions taking place in copyright law. In addition to my academic publications, I have published articles on transformation and data, as well as given talks in North America, Europe and the Caribbean. I also write. In the past I published poetry, short stories and a science fiction novel. I am currently working on my second novel.
