About Steve Lyons

My first full-time logistics role after college began in September of 2013. I was asked by the owner (my Father) to research and learn each aspect of the business and determine a path that would best serve the company. In these last 10 years, we've rebranded as a transportation company with the help of a local marketing agency. We had purchased our own tractors and trailers so that we could offer our "asset-based" division in supplementation to our 3PL division. Our processes improved, we became much more efficient, and our bottom-line reports remained healthy. In 2018 our group of companies merged with another local produce company in Comstock Park, MI. We inherited access to roughly 150,000 sq ft of combined warehouse operations between 2 facilities, an expanded asset-based trucking fleet, more opportunity for our transportation brokerage, and a larger book of business to service.In October of 2021, Vine Line Logistics spun off from Vine Line Group and became its own standalone entity for the first time. In December of 2021, I was promoted to President and in January of 2022, I bought into equity of the company.In November of 2023, my Father and I sold the business to Van Eerden Trucking Company. We both had worked with them on a regular basis for decade(s). The values between our businesses and the vision for the future was in alignment. I am excited for the future what we can build here as a premier transportation provider.Work isn't my entire life, however. I married my beautiful bride Katie in 2015 and we had our first baby boy in December of 2017 (Carter) and baby girl in July of 2021 (Brooklyn). We have one incredibly entertaining dog - a Bernese Mountain Dog (Tony). I love exercising as a form of therapy. God is #1. I have a mild obsession with keeping my cars clean. Golf is by far my favorite sport.
