Edinburgh Garden Partners creates and fosters befriending relationships between elderly, disabled, or vulnerable garden owners and volunteers looking for a space to grow.

The Connected Places Catapult is the new name for the Future Cities and Transport Systems Catapults. It is a technology and innovation company working at the intersection between the public and private sectors to help overcome barriers in innovation in mobility services and the built environment.My role involves bringing an understanding of people and society to our work, with the ultimate aim of developing better products and services. At times this involves primary and secondary research, but also involves working with and asking the right questions of colleagues.

A placement funded by The Valuing Nature Programme (valuing-nature.net). It involved designing, carrying out, and disseminating a research project (primarily ethnographic) exploring the social values of urban nature in a community in South London.- Produced an exhibition of research results, displayed locally and online.- Developed a brief guide for individuals and community organisations seeking to demonstrate the value of small-scale urban nature.- Organised a 'tree walk' for local residents featuring various tree experts and stakeholders.Some of the results are accessible below.

While on placement with Social Life, I was employed by The Institute for Global Prosperity at UCL.

Tutoring and marking on undergraduate and masters courses in social anthropology and research methods.

Carried out a mixed-methods research project at the Commonwealth Games, using ethnography, work-shadowing, interviewing, and survey.My final report was described by my manager as 'consultancy standard'.
