Flotta Oil Terminal/Piper B - Centrica 3B

working on the Flotta Oil Terminal as a Fabric Maintenance Supervisor, replacing the coatings on a floating roof oil tanker,internal linings, roof and girders.Organising daily working arrangments between the 12 man day shift and 4 man night shift squad, reviewing the techniques we are using, QAQC's making sure work is upto standard before handing over to the clients independant inspector.Conference calls are held on a weekly basis reviewing progress along with our daily reports etc.Making sure work is carried out in a safe controlled manner and enough equipment/materials on site at all times.Currently working on the Centrica 3B as a rope access technician.

Working as a self employed rope access technician/coatings inspector on a week by week basis.Currently working removing and replacing reinforced glass windows at approximately 40 metres high using rope access. Also looking at the coating systems for future work and putting the risk assessments and control/measures in place for safe and correct application.Updating the companies ISO 9001 system,dealing with new clients for future work scopes/projects looking at business plans and working procedures for the best and safest possible result.

Working as a self-employed i.r.a.t.a construction/maintenance contractor.Working on 3 contracts in 2 paper mills, my work included constructing and installing an Air curtain along with all the ducting for an air condition unit (approx. 70 foot high)Also remove and replace a storm drain system (approx. 120 foot high),Surface prep and coating,Construct a ventilation system into the walls of the paper mills.Installing stainless steel sheets to the underside of the roof to prevent debris and the roof itself falling onto the machine below, all of these jobs were done in extreme humidity so needed the utmost concentration and safetyAlso fixing roof tiles and external guttering to make it water tight.
