Stephen (Steve) Conley is a staff attorney in King & Spalding’s Discovery Center. His practice focuses on electronic discovery issues, particularly with respect to the representation of clients in matters of product liability and governmental investigations. Mr. Conley has been involved in both individual cases and class actions pending in state and federal courts around the country.

Project Attorney for large law firm in Atlanta. Reviewing and analyzing documents for responsiveness, privilege and confidentiality in connection with discovery requests from opposing counsel, primarily relating to complex litigation (contracts, intellectual property, etc.) Managing sub-groups within projects to complete assigned tasks under strict deadlines in accordance with instructions provided by case counsel.Specialties:Analysis of documents obtained from clients for determination of responsiveness, presence of attorney-client privilege, and levels of confidentiality; ability to review and analyze large amounts of information accurately and efficiently.

Drafting benefit plan contracts (SERP, Deferral, Split Dollar Life Insurance, et al); Preparing amendments to benefit plan contracts (client requests, 1035 exchanges, Internal Revenue Code compliance, et al); Performing legal research (contracts, insurance, tax, et al); Working with clients/consultants to resolve issues regarding benefit plan contracts, amendments, etc. Particular focus on Section 409A of the Internal Revenue Code.

Reviewed benefit plan documents for compliance with the proposed regulations to Section 409A of the Internal Revenue Code; drafted memos and amendments to plan documents to reflect those changes; assisted in the drafting of memo and amendment templates
