• Provides specialized medication therapy for LTC patients• Fills, checks (PV1/PV2), and/or triages 500+ prescriptions per day• Counsels clients on appropriate drug therapy• Consistent, daily communication with direct-care staff and medical coordinators ofLTC facilities, including doctors, nurses, and nursing supervisors• Supervised the creation of, and maintains an electronic MAR (eMAR) system forclients, troubleshoots any issues, and markets it to both existing and prospectiveresidential agencies• Helped pioneer a medication synchronization program for all of our long term careclients, which includes detailed scheduling for all facets of preparing those orders• Monitors appropriate Medicare and Medicaid billing and reimbursements• Showcases pharmacy services through presentations that maintain current accountsand acquire new business from competitors• Extensive knowledge of billing for nutritional supplements and enteral products• Verifies appropriate renal dosing for orders delivered directly to dialysis centers• Administers all vaccines allowable by state law, including influenza and COVID-19• Regularly provides on-call clinical services after hours• Creates work schedule for department employees

• Assists pharmacists with prescription management in all ways allowable under stateand federal law• Effective communication with doctors and nurses to clarify prescription information• Frequent compounding of medications for direct disbursement to patients
