I'm an experienced legal advocate for businesses in a variety of dispute settings, both litigation and transactional. My law background spans competition, environmental, distribution, contract, franchise, design professional, international commercial, intellectual property, regulatory, investments and other areas. As part of my legal work, I have managed litigation, dispute resolution, product distribution issues and strategic transactions for European clients. I've overseen an attorney secondment program for European clients and authored an advisory paper on common pitfalls for foreign companies doing business with US companies. l also serve as an arbitrator in financial disputes. I also oversee a state regulatory practice involving a variety of licensing and litigation areas.As a member of the Michigan and Virginia bars I'm admitted to practice before state and federal courts. I like to get to the heart of a dispute early and press for a resolution without litigation, keeping in mind that it may become necessary.
