Elected President and Chief Executive Officer by the Ducommun Board of Directors in January 2017 as the first outside CEO hire in the history of the company. Responsibilities include setting and driving strategic initiatives and significantly improving the organization and operational performance. Ducommun’s major customers include Raytheon, Boeing, Airbus, Spirit AeroSystems and other Aerospace and Defense manufacturers. Also, leading and developing a long-term strategy to move the business to a much higher level of technology through building organic proprietary manufacturing processes as well as acquisitions in high technology product businesses. Oswald was elected Chairman of the Board in May, 2018.
