Seasoned construction professional, whose background and career spans over 40 years in Government, Industrial, and Commercial construction. For the first 33 years of his carrier he owned and operated his own business, providing construction services for Municipalities, Industrial, Education, Healthcare and Government clients.In 2016, Steve joined a new SDVOSB General Construction firm as its Chief Operations Officer, bringing his construction management excellence, jobsite expertise, and longstanding client relationships, to develop business opportunities and promote sustainable growth for this newly formed company.In 2017, in response to Hurricane Harvey in the Houston Area, Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, Steve recognized the opportunities to support damaged communities, and developed an Emergency/Disaster division to provide temporary power generation and build-back construction services. In late 2018, Hurricane Florence damaged the Eastern Seaboard with extensive flooding. Steve managed the procurement and logistics of placing temporary power generation in the affected areas for Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and school systems in the surrounding areas. Just a few weeks later, Hurricane Michael devastated the Gulf Coast of Florida, including large-scale destruction at Tyndall AFB. Once again, Steve led an emergency response team and quickly obtained contracts for temporary power generation to restore power to the area. Steve was instrumental in obtaining a $3.2M Mold & Water Remediation emergency contract through the AFCEC’s AFCAP IV Program. Over the next five months, more than 23 task orders were awarded, and the contract value grew to more than $30M. Steve established an office at Tyndall AFB and managed all day-to-day operations for the contract. Additionally, Steve managed construction contracts under NAVFAC's GCC MAC Program at NSA Panama City FL, which also sustained damage from Hurricane Michael, providing build-back construction and new roofing for damaged facilities on base.
