As a family medicine physician assistant/associate (PA) at the County of Santa Cruz Health Services Agency (HSA) with over 18 years of primary care and specialty practice experience, I provide quality primary care services to a diverse and underserved population. I diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, order and interpret laboratory tests, perform physical examinations, and educate and counsel patients on preventive health and lifestyle choices.I am passionate about serving the community and improving health outcomes for individuals and families. I am certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and have a master's degree in physician assistant studies from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. I have published a book on personal statement writing for PA school applicants and have multiple publications on Amazon KDP Select. In addition, I speak fluent Spanish and have a basic knowledge of medical Spanish, which enables me to communicate effectively with a large segment of my patients.
