I enjoy solving problems. Throughout my 20+ year career within finance, I have been driven by my curiosity to solve even the most complex issues. Strategically-minded, I am known for optimizing business operations through planning and implementing financial policies and procedures. I enjoy collaborating with others (in person or virtually) to gain different perspectives to refine strategies. As an Assistant Financial Secretary, I conduct economic research and analysis to assist with sound fiscal policy to promote stable economic growth and sustainable government finances. Additionally, I represent the Ministry of Finance for all FinTech matters, including the development of the FinTech legislation. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS ASSURING SUCCESS OF STRATEGIC INITIATIVES: Member of Government of Bermuda’s Blockchain task force and co-chaired the Blockchain Legal and regulatory workgroup; which launched the world’s most progressive Initial Coin Offering (ICO) legislation LEADING GLOBAL TEAMS: As Head of Trading and Liquidity at HSBC Bermuda, I managed the bank’s treasury asset portfolio worth $10B and led a team that oversaw the supply and demand of the bank’s daily liquidity position and foreign exchange exposure Outside of work, I like to spend my evenings relaxing with my family, enjoying a nice glass of scotch, and watching International House Hunters (my guilty pleasure). I also enjoy nature photography, and I am an avid runner.
