Having successfully built a nationwide network of franchisees over a 10 year period, the NZ Master Franchise for The Alternative Board was sold to an existing franchisee in late 2021 . I am now focused on coaching and supporting a small number of long-standing business-owning clients.

The Alternative Board is an international organisation present in 20+ countries, including New Zealand, USA, Canada, UK and Australia. Operating since 1990 and with around 300 independently owned franchises, the organisation brings together business owners to overcome challenges and seize new opportunities with a combination of peer-advisory boards and business coaching.As the owner of The Alternative Board in New Zealand, I aim to build a network of exclusive franchise territories throughout the country and thereby help local business owners achieve their dreams through combining experienced facilitator/coaches with the amazing creativity and power offered by the think-tank environment of a peer board.

A 300 ha sheep and cattle farm. During 10 years of ownership, productivity improved through investment in new pasture, fertilisers and sub-division. Five blocks of bush covenanted to Queen Elizabeth Trust in perpetuity.

While at Rank Group, I was closely involved with the research, financing, acquisition, management and divestment of multiple businesses in NZ and overseas. These included the Government Printing Office, Whitcoulls, Burns Philp, NZ Dairy Foods and Goodman Fielder.
