I have nearly twenty years of experience in ministry, and am furthering my education by attending Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where I am pursuing studies in Hebrew Bible and Semitic languages. I've always loved the Biblical languages and am convinced that getting back to them can deepen one's walk with Christ and can answer questions modern seekers are asking. I've taught classes on everything from the Aramaic background of the Gospels to mystical practices of the Eastern Christian traditions.I am also a multi-talented musician: choral conductor, musical theatre conductor, pianist, composer, music director, organist, and singer. I am the director of choral music programs at Boonsboro High School and John Wesley United Methodist Church. I have served as music director for musicals such as Rent (twice), Godspell, and Jesus Christ Superstar, all for Authentic Community Theatre. I have won the ACT Award for Best Music Director every time I have been nominated. My first album of original piano compositions, Melodies with Forgotten Words, is available on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube.I am particularly known for my work across many genres, including classical, musical theatre, sacred music, and pop music. In schools, I champion collaborations with band, orchestra, theatre, visual art, and dance classes to produce unique performances that have achieved audience acclaim. My choruses consistently earn excellent and superior ratings at county- and state-level adjudications.I advocate for traditional Christian liturgical music, leading my choirs to sing the most beautiful, meaningful music the Church has produced. A member of the Orthodox Church, I am equally at home in traditional Anglican, Catholic, and Reformed sacred music.
