Key roles: ● Developing the brand's growth strategy by establishing and leveraging partnerships with large media outlets, allowing us to grow into Canada's largest independent housing news site in just a few short months.● Building and maintaining relationships with key contributors, including a number of politicians, and high-profile business executives. ● Developing in-house trend aggregation and research tools, and teaching staff how to leverage those tools to provide the right coverage at the right time. ● Building and maintaining a custom app backend that allows our journalists to collect and analyze data that we can easily visualize to create unique stories.

Overseeing end-to-end technical development from specifications to beta testing of a children's learning application. ● Spec'd and developed a full technology stack including custom application backend. ● Reducing technical aspects of learning to mathematical theory. Working with psychologists and education specialists to find solutions for learning roadblocks that can be solved with technology. ● Design of a custom algorithm that learns how children learn, and adjusts to match their personal learning style.● Implementing and overseeing an analytics program to help smooth on-boarding and continued use from both children and their parents.● Managing design and UX vendors to help implement child and parent friendly app interfaces for web app and iOS.

Oversaw development of the website and IOS tour app, from initial speci cations, to beta testing, to launch. Key roles included:● Build of initial website, and design of the backend user interface.● Created a custom backend framework so contributors and authors could easily assemble listicles of their favorite places.● Gathered initial contributors, that included some of the world's most renowned fashion designers, stylists, and chefs. ● Developed and designed an iOS framework for in-house prototyping of self-guided walking tour apps.

Led the womenswear product development team of the 120+ store apparel chain. Analyzed key demographics using KPIs established through sales patterns, seasonal trends, and competitors. Some of the key duties included: ● Project Management: Managing technical, graphic, and production design teams to execute and deliver products for deliveries. ● Spec Packages: Creating complete and detailed specification packages to communicate with domestic and overseas vendors. ● Trend Analysis: Shopping domestic and foreign markets to determine where and what is appropriate for target demographic.● Overseas Sourcing: Maintained and established relationships with overseas vendors. Acted as the main point of contact with the overseas factories in Asia/Eastern Europe. Approved all samples through final product, and checked deliveries for quality assurance. ● Sales Analysis: Prepared and briefed the executive team with weekly sales analysis, and gave a plan of action on how we would respond to the numbers.

During my time there, we were sold in the world's most prestigious stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Harvey Nicols, and Holt Renfrew. Day-to-day duties included: ● Trend research and development. ● Creating technical specifications packages. Ensuring clarity, as they were being sent to overseas vendors. ● Daily communication with vendors and factories to track the development process, and ensure high quality production.● Ensure shipments were on time, and on-track for delivery.
