Stephen Yang, Ph.D. researches the effectiveness of using exergames (active video games) and technologies for children, adolescents, and adults with and without disabilities. Yang has been active in the field of exergaming since it’s infancy and has published and presented internationally and nationally. He is a contributor with the Games for Health (GFH) Project (www.gamesforhealth.org), and consults with video game developers, toy and technology firms, and exergaming companies on products and services. In recognition of his expertise, he was appointed to the Board of Advisors of Exergame Fitness, is a founding member and Director of Research of The Exergame Network (http://exergamenetwork.blogspot.com/ ), and has been interviewed for several national news services. Throughout all his research and collaborations, Yang wishes to see how exergames can be used as a potential Gateway Game to inspire people of all ages and abilities to be active and healthy for a lifetime.
