- Led the product design team responsible for the first and second generation iPads- Provided mechanical insight and support for early industrial design explorations, and worked with ID group to finalize design direction- Responsible for overall product architecture on first gen iPad and iPad 2- Drove improvements in design efficiency among cross-functional teams including PCB and interconnect space optimization, display thickness reduction, antenna isolation and optimization of battery capacity and dimensions- Completed detailed design work for the first iteration of most system components & parts, including rear cover and display assembly- Coordinated development and refinement of the mechanical & cross-functional design including system integration, manufacturing processes, assembly and part quality- Drove FA and corrective actions for all reliability concerns including display, glass, interconnect & cosmetics- Worked closely with vendors in Asia throughout the design and manufacturing cycle at part, subassembly, and finished product levels.

- Led mechanical design for refresh of Airport Express- Led thermal design, testing & performance optimization of Time Capsule- Participated full-time in mechanical design, reliability testing, manufacturing ramp and field-failure analysis of Time Capsule- Joined Apple TV and Mac Mini teams during periods of intense design iteration to help with plastic part design, internal layout improvements, thermal solution and sensor design.- Aided in iMac architecture explorations to determine minimum product depth and best internal space-utilization for different screen sizes and aspect ratios- Led iMac display technology investigation
