● Over 30 years’ professional research and development experience, 21 years with USAID as a Commissioned Foreign Service Officer, four with an academic affiliation, and five with an international research organization. ● Technical areas of expertise include micro- and macro-economics, finance, climate smart and productive agriculture, carbon neutral energy, business development services, macroeconomic policy and regulatory reform, trade, and mitigation and adaptation in agriculture. ● Detailed understanding of USAID's procurement, implementation, strategic, and learning processes in Washington and bilateral missions. ● Experience in a range of social science topics including, qualitative and quantitative analysis of research results, program management and budgeting, assessing programmatic effectiveness, developing briefers and reports, and tracking progress against milestones. ● Managed staff and resources in a variety of professional settings in the US, the Middle East, East and West Africa, and Asia. ● Ph.D. in Applied Anthropology (University of Kentucky, 1997)
