Steve co-founded Cogofi to support the consumer loan goals and objectives of his extensive network of financial institutions, fintechs and investors.

Steve founded SJR IV Advisors to fulfill his vision and passion to help financial service organizations grow revenue and profits by helping them deliver value driven financial products and services to the clients and members they serve. He is committed to making companies more relevant to their customers and members by building relationships with both existing and transactional clients. Steve’s advisory services have application to a broad range of organizations such as Financial Institutions, Insurance/Investment Companies, Insurance Brokers, RIA’s and FinTech companies. Steve is a Financial Services executive with proven leadership and entrepreneurial experience. He has almost 40 years’ experience as a C-Suite leader with very significant responsibilities and oversight for P & L’s, revenue generation, product creation, acquisitions and market share. Steve’s standing in the business community is exemplified by his extensive global network of C level contacts. These contacts combined with Steve’s 40 + years of experience ensure clients that they will be working with one of the most resourceful firms in the world.Most recently, Steve served for almost 16 years in the not for profit sector at the United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU), as President & CEO, UNFCU Financial Services (Insurance Agency) and UNFCU Advisors (SEC registered Investment Advisory Firm), and as UNFCU’s Chief Business Development Officer. Steve grew UNFCU’s non-banking financial services platform to serve United Nations staff and their families around the globe-providing assistance to a significant number of people who were often stationed in dangerous areas of the world and were lacking access to very important financial solutions.

Steve serves as President & CEO of both UNFCU Advisors LLC & UNFCU Financial Services LLC, wholly owned subsidiaries of the United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU). UNFCU Advisors is an SEC registered investment advisory firm, while UNFCU Financial Services is a global life/health and property casualty insurance brokerage agency. In 2006, Steve was the vision behind the creation of UNFCU Advisors as a global financial services company that would build on UNFCU’s 70 years of service, trust and experience to the United Nations community and become a trusted partner/financial advisor for other credit unions, non-profits, associations, businesses and the general public. UNFCU's 2 subsidiaries offer a platform of products and services that encompasses investment advisory, insurance and risk management, employee benefits, real estate and related financial products. These programs are offered throughout the United States as well as available in many foreign countries and in such currencies as the Euro, Swiss Franc and Pound Sterling.In addition to its headquarters in Long Island City New York, the organization maintains offices in Washington DC; Vienna, Austria; Geneva, Switzerland; Rome, Italy and Nairobi, Kenya establishing itself as the only global Credit Union Service Organization in the world.

In Steve’s role at the United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU), he is responsible for overseeing business development activities in the US. He is also responsible for the development and implementation of financial programs for the staff, family members and retirees of the UN and its specialized agencies around the world. UNFCU members are located in 205 countries and territories. This includes such services as financial planning, investment advisory services, insurance and risk management, real estate buy/sell/relocation assistance, travel services and other programs and services as needed by UNFCU’s global membership. In late 2008, services expanded to begin meeting the needs of a global membership by offering multi-currency investment advisory and insurance services from our Vienna and Geneva based offices.
