Caroline has ten years experience of forensic accounting, working across the South and South West of England and in Wales. She established Tempest Forensic Accounting UK LLP, with fellow partners Geoff Mesher and Karen de Klerk, in March 2013 having previously worked at KPMG and Grant Thornton. She specialises in expert witness work. The majority of her assignments have been commercial civil cases and matrimonial cases. She has produced expert reports and worked on numerous loss of profit and valuation engagements arising from a wide range of commercial, matrimonial and other disputes.Commercial disputesCaroline has worked on many commercial disputes, including completion accounts disputes, earn-out disputes, consequential loss of profit claims, breach of contract and breach of warranty disputes and shareholder disputes. Business valuationsCaroline has worked on expert witness assignments in various matters requiring business valuations, including compulsory purchase orders, commercial agency terminations, shareholder and probate disputes, and warranty disputes pursuant to sales or acquisitions of businesses. Matrimonial disputesCaroline has worked on a number of expert witness engagements to value interests in businesses as part of matrimonial proceedings and has been involved in reports reviewing liquidity, methods of realising value from the party's business interests and assessment of income and benefits. She has also provided accountancy expertise and advice in investigating financial resources in matrimonial disputes and provides advice on financial information disclosure. Business interests have included complex group structures, international companies and trusts, sole traders, MBO's, start-up companies and partnerships across a wide range of industry sectors.
