The College of General Studies was created as a response to the University of Wisconsin System’s restructuring of the UW Colleges’ branch campuses into University of Wisconsin comprehensive and research universities. College of General Studies served students and communities at two branch campuses: UW–Milwaukee at Waukesha (1660 students) and UW–Milwaukee at Washington County (715 students) [fall 2018 headcount]. • Visioning and change management leadership of restructuring process, including formation of the new academic unit and transition from old to new institution’s governance structure and functional operations. Lead on budget restructuring from old to new model. Lead on transition of human relations matters from old to new model. Developed and implemented the new organizational chart and reporting structures. The UW Colleges was the two-year teaching institution of UW System. The Southeast Region included three campuses: UW–Waukesha (1930 students), UW–Washington County (800 students), and UW–Sheboygan (620 students) [fall 2016 headcount]. The Southeast Region had approximately 170 full- and part-time faculty and adjunct instructors [fall 2016]. ASSOCIATE DEAN FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS: • Provided strategic curricular and data analysis, personnel management, and stewardship of all academic affairs functions for the Southeast Region campuses.
