About Stephen Sciuto, Phd
I am a mass spectrometry expert with 11 years experience operating and troubleshooting MS hardware. Currently I am an Application Scientist at SCIEX, where I use my background in proteomics and biologics to design customer workflows in Biologics Explorer software. Previous features include site-specific glycan localization using peptide mapping, disulfide bond detection, isomer differentiation using EAD, and intact mass analysis of mAbs, IdeS fragments, and ADCs. Prior to SCIEX, I was a Mass Spectrometry Technologist at the Hospital for Sick Children. In this role I developed considerable expertise in the operation of Orbitrap-based mass spectrometers (e.g. Orbitrap Fusion Lumos with and without UVPD, Q-Exactive HF-X, Q-Exactive, and Orbitrap Elite). Designed customized workflows from sample preparation to MS acquisition and processing to identify the number of proteins in a sample, as well as targeted approaches using parallel reaction monitoring (PRM).
Listed skills include Mass Spectrometry, Analytical Chemistry, Fluorescence Spectroscopy, Computer Programming, and 9 others.
