New England, a region especially hard-hit by the current economic slump, hosted the first “Job Search Jam Sessions” in May 2010. The 5th event was held September 12, 2014.In coordination with the Hopkinton Networking Group, the Job Search Jam Sessions offered peer-to-peer learning, networking opportunities and motivational support for unemployed and under-unemployed workers. New and recent college graduates were welcome to participate to learn the tips and tricks of the job search.The first Job Search Jam Sessions was held on Friday, May 14, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Parish Center, 20 Church Street, Hopkinton, Mass. Over 70 people participated to make this event a success.
