I have over 30 years of experience in geotechnical engineering managing hundreds of design and construction projects in the western US including Washington, Oregon and Utah. Typical responsibilities include project management and administration, business development, peer review and office engineering. Areas of expertise include shallow and deep foundation design, excavation support, retaining wall design, slope stability, stormwater infiltration, geologic hazards and abandoned coal mine hazard mitigation. For the majority of my career I have focused on primarily commercial/retail development, housing projects and a variety of infrastructure related projects for local, state and federal clients and energy sector projects for private and public utility clients. More recently, I have worked on a number of school replacement and addition projects in Western Washington, mixed use mid rise buildings, geotechnical peer review of projects in landslide hazard areas and complex single family residential projects.
