In this role, I lead the Digital Channels team, providing world class channel solutions to be used by all Barclays Corporate Communications teams. This involves leading on the development of existing channels, exploring and evaluating new channels, and leveraging content generated by the team and the business across multiple channels. I also own and drive the Group Digital Channel Strategy, including governance and controls, ensuring key channels are compelling, engaging and are used to effectively communicate with Barclays colleagues.

In this role, I manage a digital channels team of four staff, developing and implementing new initiatives including the Barclays-wide intranet (Barclays Now), improved analytics, video webcasting and a single survey tool for employees.Highlights from my role include:• Led the team that won ‘Best Intranet’ award by the Institute of Internal Communications in 2016 and 2019 and Silver award for ‘Best Intranet’ by Communicate Magazine in 2016• Advise and partner with senior business and communications leadership, driving key communication initiatives and channel releases across the global organisation, while delivering clear, consistent messages to staff• Created an internal digital strategy for Barclays, as well as developing improved audit controls for brochure-ware content, an effective target operating model for channels and overall social media governance

During this role, I led the communications team for social media, the integrated video platform, intranet and digital channel workstreams for Barclays-wide projects, developing tools to support colleagues with their day-to-day activity.Highlights from my role include:• Managed a working group for a project entitled ‘Our Bank’, supporting colleague voice across the business, involving research, proposal and strategy, ultimately presenting the creation of a ‘Voice of the Colleague’ forum to executives• Implemented the ‘Our Bank’ project successfully, which led to a Platinum ExCo award given to high performers• Supported key internal and external stakeholders to improve internal social media tools usage within the business

During this role, I managed and developed the intranet into the main internal communication tool for 900 staff across 80 locations.Highlights from my role include:• Liaised with public relations agencies to manage media and consumer generated content on external websites• Produced an integrated communications plan for Avis UK using all available channels for maximum effect• Assisted the UK management board to communicate corporate and strategic plans to all levels of staff
