As a Varsity Pole Vaulter at Seattle University; I spent 40+ hours a week in practice and competition. While being a full-time student as well as an athlete I had to enhance my time management skills. When I first came onto the team, they did not have the funding and equipment for me to be able to compete at my highest level. I demonstrated drive and passion when convincing the Seattle University Athletic Committee to fund necessary equipment for successful Pole vault program. With the proper equipment I was able to set both the school pole vault record (indoor and outdoor).

During my time I Managed six projects in Arizona, Colorado, and California tasked with increasing the value of apartment complexes. Throughout my employment, I successfully moved multiple projects back on schedule and created new budget plans to remedy relationships with investors. At Alliance Residential, I worked in the Asset Engineering department as an assistant project manager. I served as a project manager on apartment renovations. During my employment I was innovative in resolving issues, improving processes, and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently resulting in increasing the efficiency of the project and moving it back on schedule. In the first few week of employment I had been given more and more responsibility as I proved I was up to the task. Tasks I was given became increasingly ambiguous; I had to use good decision-making, organization, and problem solving skills to complete these tasks with high success. After two weeks I received a 20% pay raise. I began to manage teams of up to 11 people and at the same time drastically decreased employee turnover. I used Microsoft Excel to assist in managing the budget and scheduling. As acting project manager I had to negotiate and deal with several vendors. I was able to communicate positively and persuasively over the phone, e-mail, and in person to ensure prices and timely deliveries. I had to pay carful attention to detail when estimating costs by assembling quoted prices, previous costs, and allowing for unpredicted delays.
