With over 20 years of experience in antenna design and engineering, I was the Director of the Antenna Design Department at ASUS, one of the world's leading PC and smart device manufacturers. I am also an IEEE Senior Member, a prestigious recognition of my professional maturity and contribution to the field of antenna engineering. I led a team of talented antenna designers and engineers who were responsible for creating innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective antennas for ASUS's laptops, notebooks, PCs, and smartwatches, including the ZenBook, VivoBook, Gaming, ZenWatch, and VivoWatch series. I also oversaw the collaboration and supervision of OEM/ODM antenna manufacturers, ensuring the quality and performance of their designs. Some of my notable achievements include innovating the mCAT MIMO shared-radiator antennas that reduce the antenna size by 50% without compromising antenna radiation performance. I also built up the first Antenna Design team at Lite-On, contributing numerous customized non-PC antennas in ODM projects, including Enterprise/SMB access point/Bluetooth headset/Apple AirPlay speaker, connected device, and RF module antennas. I know very well the right types of antennas and the placement with respect to the ID, the whole device, and the system level from my years of experience in PC and non-PC products. I am experienced in the measurement of antenna passive and active performances: return loss, matching, isolation (decoupling), radiation, efficiency, gain, TRP/TIS, RF desense, and EM simulator HFSS/CST. I have achieved 58 U.S. and 84 Taiwan patents granted; some patents helped Lite-On bundle ODM projects (drafted patents and claims and helped the legal team respond to USPTO Office Action at Lite-On ). I have published 163 refereed papers in international journals and conference proceedings, among which 24 papers are single-author papers conducted on my own in the industry; my articles have been cited over 4267 times with an h-index of 30 in Google Scholar.
