• Accountable for the full lifecycle delivery of both clinical and technical IT projects, spanning various functions including Pathology hardware replacement, off-site printing cost initiative and interoperability to provide sharing of clinical data. • Direct clinical working-groups to capture a detailed Electronic Patient Record system specification for the St Helens and Knowsley NHS Hospitals Trust. Responsibilities:_____________• Primarily responsible for managing the delivery of key programmes and projects, currently leading ‘Electronic Patient Record’ Programme valued around £35m. • Report to the programme board consisting of the FD, Deputy Clinical Director and Non-exec Director.• Manage work packages across the IT department to complete programme tasks• Lead the tendering for service managed solutions using Official Journal of European Union (OJEU) and framework processes. Down-select the number of suppliers from 17 to three. • Conduct face-to face discussions with each supplier and discuss detailed requirements through formal dialogue sessions.
