Studied estimating an effective material that provides efficient and rapid heat expenditure on a cross-drilled and fully slotted disc brake rotor. The model of the disc was created in SolidWorks while the thermal analysis was conducted in Ansys. Though different models were considered in aspect to the weight, deformation, stress, and thermal conductivity, a newly proposed cross-drilled and fully slotted rotor was found to be showing better thermal performance. Also did a project on harnessing power from vehicle exhaust to generate electricity using thermoelectric generators to recover waste heat and utilizing the turbine+dynamo combination in the path of silencer and store the energy in a battery for later consumptionI took up an in-plant training in KTC Volkswagen, Kochi. The training facilitated in helping me to analyze the working of various sectors in the automobile industry.
