I studied a combined Law and Arts degree at the University of Melbourne, and more recently was awarded a Masters of Law with first class honours, concentrating on insurance law and commercial litigation and evidence. I have been admitted for 15 years, and spent more than 10 years in Middletons Lawyers' insurance and commercial litigation departments, splitting my time between insurance work, professional indemnity defence, and commercial litigation.I came to the Victorian Bar in May 2007 and once again split my time between commercial litigation, professional indemnity for plaintiffs and defendants alike, and professional discipline and regulation, principally for lawyers.Until 2011, I was the editor of the Commercial Bar Association's insurance newsletter and publish the Australian Professional Liability Blog, which covers the professional indemnity and professional discipline side of my practice.Specialties: Professional-client disputes, discovery and getting documents out of people more generally, insurance law including professional indemnity insurance, professional discipline (e.g. professional misconduct prosecutions), commercial litigation, VCAT.
