I coordinate a comprehensive recycling program for this wholesale book company. It's a program I inherited in the early '90s while working there in the Promo dept. as an editor/proofer. I have expanded the program over the years to include giveaways of excess packing materials, recycling of everything from compact fluorescent lightbulbs to window glass, and an intensive educational campaign to get employees on board. New Leaf employees who have no other access to recycling are encouraged to bring materials from home. In addition to editing a weekly newsletter introducing new books, CDs, DVDs etc. to New Leaf's client bookstores, I designed and laid out articles for New Leaf's quarterly magazine Evolve! (now defunct), formatted and proofed annual catalogs, and edited a new-product feature in New Leaf's monthly Update catalog.
