I coordinate a comprehensive recycling program for this wholesale book company. It's a program I inherited in the early '90s while working there in the Promo dept. as an editor/proofer. I have expanded the program over the years to include giveaways of excess packing materials, recycling of everything from compact fluorescent lightbulbs to window glass, and an intensive educational campaign to get employees on board. New Leaf employees who have no other access to recycling are encouraged to bring materials from home. I was laid off from the Promo dept. in Oct. 2010, but continue my recycling work on contract.New Leaf carries my novel Free Ralph! An Evolutionary Fable, published in March 2008 by Wind Eagle Press.
