Investigates the single filament carbon fibers and carbon fiber composites using radiation based characterization, synchrotron and lab based x-ray imagining and computed tomography (XCT), neutron imaging and computed tomography, optical, and electron microscopy methods and their relationship to mechanical behavior of the composites.
