We provide commercial video production services to prominent clients. As the Producer, I materialize the creative concepts into award-winning cinematic content, from digital and social media ads to broadcast campaigns. For example, you’ll find our billboards for Resorts World Bimini on the Omni Center. Part of my duties is to participate in their brainstorming sessions, relating to business development and creative pitches, for which I present them with strategic and creative feedback. Produced Cabify’s holiday campaign ads and brought the creative vision to life, by collaborating with the creatives and the accounts team. Supervised the offline and the online phases, and their corresponding editing and animation. Supervised the editing, the animation, and the postproduction. Produced the shoot for the live-action portion, managed the assets and their licensing terms, and managed the budget and the calendar. Also produced a proof of concept for a large potential client and co-produced the Spanish adaptation of the ad campaign for CVS’ Healthier Happens Together. Led and oversaw the post-production process of ads created by this ad agency (including animations, radio spots, and live-action ads), managing the day-to-day work, from the first briefing to the shipment. For each project, I built estimates and obtained client approval, awarded the job, and then booked the operators and the talent. Afterward, delegated and supervised the work, controlled its quality and accuracy (as per client procedures), made sure the projects remained within budget and their timely delivery, and lastly, actualized and closed the job. During this process, I worked with our legal department on all matters concerning copyright, talent contracts, and more. I worked on a total of 65 projects ranging from digital and social media ads to large broadcast campaigns, and a portion of these included new business/ proof of concept jobs. Materialized creative projects in both areas of Activations and Video Production. Produced and deployed many events, notably for Baptist Health. Brought to life several challenging designs, that required thorough research and creative solutions. Participated in meetings with the creative team to discuss their designs and talk about the logistics. Commissioned work from reputable vendors, such as Bombshell Productions. Supervised the installation of these builds, their success during the event, and their breakdown. Also, produced and supervised the delivery of several ads, including the Sedanos Covid ‘19 spot. Designed its digital marketing and content strategy for this nonprofit (centering around educational content about the Environment and Green Living). Specifically, I reviewed their current strategy, the look of the website, and the overall content and copy they published, and suggested ways to revamp all those aspects, proposing and shooting new content, and suggesting new monetization strategies. The ultimate objective was to strengthen the credibility and attractiveness of the organization to potential donors, as well as revitalize and boost its content production.

Managed the booking of high-end locations for film, TV, and editorial shoots. Ensured a successful rental, by mediating between parties and addressing any challenges. Assisted clients during all stages and when required, also obtained film permits, police escorts, and in-person location management for them. Completed a graduate degree in film/ video production and screenwriting. During my studies, I wrote, directed, edited, and produced the following short films:-The Rise of Karina, thesis short film/ TV pilot (2015), starring Johanna Cure from Telemundo's Corazón Valiente and Maria Quezada, star of Nickelodeon’s Talia in the Kitchen. Finalist at the Miami International Film Festival's (MIFF) CinemaSlam Competition-Good Girls Get the Part, short film (2014)-Tunnel Vision, short film (2014) -Pills of Wisdom, short film (2013) I also participated in fellow students' short films, as Assistant Director, Production Manager, Script Supervisor, and even Special Effects Makeup Artist!

Was part of the formative team Indie Film Club that kickstarted FilmGate. After analyzing its websites and social media profiles, I offered suggestions on how to revamp them and brush up their copy. I covered/ promoted their events, as well as wrote and scheduled their posts on social media using Hootsuite. They’re a local non-profit organization dedicated to film.

Managed the image of several clients by monitoring the press and reporting back my daily findings. Wrote press releases and copy for their social media accounts, and copy for their promotional materials in Spanish, English, and French. Aside from writing, I also scheduled and managed social media posts, blurbs, and tweets using Hootsuite. Also, I helped to produce their events, including in Haiti. Helped to raise funds for their international women’s day fund, by cold calling and emailing their contact list. During the Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert in 2011, I represented them and helped sell Equita fair trade products, to raise funds for farmers in various developing countries. I helped to plan and co-animate a workshop on energy efficiency for teenagers at Montreal’s Biosphere.

Wrote copy for their promotional materials, website, and social media platforms. Built their environmental blog (http://envirosain1droithumain.wordpress.com/) and wrote its copy. Also helped to organize their Annual General Assembly (AGA) and Congress in 2011. Held a workshop on communication strategies for their youth training program at the AGA.This provided me a first experience with copywriting and technical writing, as well as insight into the non-profit sector.

Pacific Latam is an Edelman affiliate. Assisted the agency with the final stages of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project in the rural community of Chilca. Participated in building a transparent and clear communication strategy for the client wishing to establish its industry in Chilca, and facilitated dialogue with the community, by e.g. writing, reviewing, and editing presentations and correspondence. This opportunity allowed me to learn about CSR and public relations in a corporate setting and a high stakes case. Assigned to conduct research on the province of Quebec, and create databases. Also translated documents into French, as a part of their French translating network. Received on January 25th, a formation to reiterate my collaboration and become specialised in events. It has been a gratifying experience during which I have reinforced my communications, networking and research skills.

Offered support to several departments at Wordans, namely accounting, administration, and customer service. Assisted the management and follow-up of orders, resolved problems with orders and customer complaints and helped prevent future problems; built templates and guidelines to train another assistant. This opportunity in particular gave me experience working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, and allowed me to improve my administrative and coordination skills.

Wrote, produced, hosted, and supervised the editing of my TV reports, which were broadcast on their channel. Interviewed up-and-coming artists and filmmakers, as well as covered trending events such as the Festival du Cinéma Latino-Américain de Montréal (2010), the music festival MUTEK (2010), and the Montreal Salsa Convention (2010). I pitched ideas for new shows and developed fundraising strategies to produce them. And I helped to produce and film their live news segments with research, editing, writing, and lighting on set. This provided me with a first look into Television Production.

Wwrote over a dozen articles on arts and culture. Was their lead Fashion Correspondent, covering the Montreal Fashion Week for two years in a row. Interviewed most of Montreal’s top fashion designers, through my own initiative and networking, including Yves Jean Lacasse and Helmer Joseph. The company was rebranded and now it's called NM Noticias, and it no longer focuses on arts and culture, but rather on general news.I gained a lot of insight into journalism and reporting, particularly in culture and fashion.

Produced, conducted, and edited multiple interviews for The Wednesday Morning After show, e.g. interviewed Scott Stone, an expert on environmental policy, and Javier De Leon, an expert on human rights abuses in the mining industry of Guatemala. Covered the 20th Anniversary of the Montreal Protocol in 2007, in collaboration with the IGSD, and covered the McGill Business Conference on Sustainability in 2008, featuring David Suzuki. Two of my audio documentaries were aired (one about itinerant musicians and the other about adopting pets). The upbeat and unconventional nature of CKUT fueled my creativity and constant initiative as I strengthened my communication skills. Moreover, it was my introduction to the world of broadcasting.

Translated and transcribed their promotional materials and notably films, including the documentary series La Dernière Planète by Sylvie Van Brabant. Supported the secretariat’s information clearinghouse function and facilitated the exchange of scientific and technical information; e.g. assembled all contributions for the inaugural presentation by the UNEP Deputy Executive Director at the University of Joensuu; coordinated the communication and screening of applicants to their trust fund; initiated a business plan recording progress on objectives of SAICM; and facilitated the organization of regional SAICM meetings in Latin America.
