In this role, I lead MCLD’s goal of localizing SDGs. I spearhead project designs; fundraising; partnership building; government relations; policy influence; capacity building of stakeholders among other roles. I also serve as the co-lead under the School for Devolution and Community-Led Development (CLD), a joint initiative between MCLD and County Government of Makueni to strengthen devolution and CLD and Localization practice in Kenya and the region.

In this capacity, I support the gender impact evaluation and documentation strategy for AfDB projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. My responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of communication strategy for the Bank’s Gender Division, analyzing gaps in gender policies across African governments, developing gender profiles to inform the Bank's gender-mainstreaming strategies, and creating capacity-building programs within the Bank’s Gender Division. I was also involved in developing and amplifying the Africa Gender Index Report 2023 (https://www.afdb.org/en/documents/africa-gender-index-2023-analytical-report)launched in November 2024. These programs aim to integrate gender and women’s empowerment perspectives into the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Bank's projects.

USAID’s Kenya Investment Mechanism, implemented by Palladium, is a five-year program designed to unlock $520 million of investments for targeted areas of agriculture, energy, infrastructure, health, WASH, the Women’s Global Development & Prosperity (W-GDP) and Prosper Africa initiatives.

USAID's Feed the Future Advancing Local Leadership & Innovation Networks (ALL-IN) initiative, is an innovative collaboration between the Kenya-based think tank International Centre for Evaluation and Development (ICED) and the U.S.-based Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Markets, Risk & Resilience at the University of California at Davis. Launched in 2020, ALL-IN advances host-country leadership in defining and implementing research projects and to deepen host-country networks. The initiative funds research to develop and test financial and market innovations that take the most promising agricultural tools for rural families in developing economies from the lab to the field.

Funded by USAID’s E3 Bureau, the USAID/Cooperatives Leadership Engagement Advocacy & Research (CLEAR) (2018-2023) is a recently awarded $8 million program. CLEAR will focus on three primary objectives including:1. Improving cooperative business enabling environments through regulatory reform and access to services and resources;2. Improving cooperative business performance through tailored capacity building; and3. Testing and analyzing positive behaviors among cooperative members that emerge as a result of participating in cooperatives and disseminating results among stakeholders.Implemented by Global Communities, CLEAR works closely with youth and women to empower them to create their own business and step into the formal economy by sharing risk and seizing new opportunities. I successfully led the design and implementation of CCRC Communications and PR strategy.This was critical in publicising the Committee's work and the KES 1 billion fundrasing efforts to support 500,000 Kenyans with adversely affected sources of livelihoods.CCRC was established by the State Department of Cooperatives to cushion the Kenya's cooperative sector against COVID-19 shocks.

I have managed and successfully led the design and implementation of comprehensive Communications Strategies for the following programs : USAID's Kenya Tuna Uwezo Program :The program aimed at reducing politically-motivated conflict, interethnic violence, violent extremism and sectarian violence in the informal settlements in Nairobi. The program is engaging residents, especially young people, to engage in dialogue, air grievances and work toward common resolution. Agribusiness Investment for Market Stimulation (AIMS) Program:AIMS is funded by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and implemented by Global Communities in Kenya, Malawi and Tanzania to increase value and volume of trade of agricultural commodities. The program supports agribusiness small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to access market and finance.Determined, Resilient, Empowered, Aids-free, Mentored, and Safe (DREAMS):DREAMS is a multi-country program which is funded by U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Girl Effect, Johnson & Johnson, Gilead Sciences, and ViiV Healthcare and implemented by Global Communities in Kenya. DREAMS is delivering a core package that combines evidence-based approaches that go beyond the health sector, addressing the structural drivers that directly and indirectly increase girls' HIV risk, including poverty, gender inequality, sexual violence, and lack of education.Enabling Market Integration through Rural Group Empowerment (EMIRGE):EMIRGE is a cooperative development and learning program funded by the USAID. EMIRGE focuses on stimulating early-stage cooperation by responding to a member-driven agenda and strengthening social capital and organizational capacity to advance the group enterprise and increase incomes. It provides technical support to community based organizations, government cooperative institutions, donor programs and private sector initiatives

Led the design and execution of communications strategies for the USAID's Kenya Tuna Uwezo(KTU) ProgramKTU is conflict mitigation and Counter Violent Extremism program that seeks to address various forms of conflicts and violent crimes across Kenya's slums.
