Responsible for timely movement of all finished goods from the supplier in Canada into the U.S. Wholesaler’s facilities or into a FIFCO USA distribution center. Work in compliance with multiple 3PL Logistics Providers to ensure carrier equipment is on time. Negotiate an annual freight bid with multiple logistics providers. Work closely with Customs Broker to ensure all customs and FDA clearance. Accountable for maintaining accurate inventory levels of finished goods within the facilities, including ensuring OTIF target is achieved. Key point of contact between FIFCO and the Canadian Supplier and work diligently to ensure orders meet the necessary production requirements in the most cost-efficient manner. Work closely with supplier production planning team to ensure FIFCO demand is met based on an annual forecast. Works as part of a cross-functional team to review weekly Supply & Demand. Responsible for data management and order creation activities for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs for 400+ SKU's across multiple distribution centers. This included ensuring all customer orders were created for accuracy, case fulfillment, and on time delivery, while minimizing costs and meeting customer parameters. Daily activities included maintaining a normal turn forecast for everyday movement, reducing days of supply, verifying promotional forecasts, and maintaining an established service level for all VMI customers. Primary communicator on orders and inventory levels with customer and/or broker, sales, warehouses and transportation.
