Inclusion of new products for the brands and building relations with suppliers were also main goals.Key responsibilities:• Drive the full design process through research and mood board creation, fabric and trim selection, creation of tech packs for manufacturers, fitting and approving of final garments.• Search and negotiate with manufacturers for the collections and window displays to be executed seasonally.• Develop and execute strategies for acquiring new clients, expanding existing client sales, and drive overall sales for the brand through weekly meetings with the Sales, Buying and Merchandising Department.• See projects through to successful completion and guarantee their correct development, following up with national and international manufacturers, suppliers and team members as necessary while being mindful of deadlines.Key skills:• I developed negotiation skills as a result of continuous meetings with potential manufacturers to achieve the brand’s budget. Building relationships with functional managers, buyers and producers was key since the company resources were limited.Achievements:• During my time in Beco & Co I turned Nicole from a brand that imported products from Los Angeles to one that developed and fully managed its design and production processes. Products that were previously labelled with other brands are now being designed and labelled by their own. I also added new products to the brand, including: shoes, sunglasses, jewellery, wallets, card holders and belts.• Reached 80% of national production for the three brands, reducing high import costs and increasing the brands’ profit.
