Connecting and helping others is what I enjoy the most. I am fortunate that my career has allowed me to travel, meet a variety of people and innovate the way we communicate with each other. I reunited with Virginia Quiambao and Amanda Roberts to help Avid Core, an Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business ("EDWOSB" for all of you acronym lovers) strategic communications company grow. As vice president of digital services, I am focused on creating new partnerships with forward-thinking teams looking to improve their processes, communicate change, and deliver excellent products to our citizens.Previously, I was proud to be a part of an award-winning team at Oddball supporting VA Lighthouse API developer platform. As a member of the Outreach team, we defined the most effective ways to work with developers to build APIs. I spearheaded newsletter efforts and created new ways to reach our users in order to help Veterans. Prior to joining Oddball, I was presented with an excellent opportunity to launch Stephanie Mace Strategic Communications (SMSC). As a consultant, I worked with small, local businesses to build websites, launch marketing campaigns and develop strategic plans. Loving the latest gadgets created my desire to work with smart & tech-savvy teams to design new communication platforms. With my college diploma in hand and a goal to work in public relations, I returned to DC to launch my professional career as a communications specialist for the newly formed Department of Homeland Security (DHS). I had the pleasure of working with many government agencies, contracting firms, small businesses and non-profit organizations to execute outreach campaigns, manage events, launch social media channels and gather feedback. I have successfully managed 34 communication campaigns throughout the past eighteen years. Specialties include: Outreach planning and implementationSocial media strategic planning, policy development, implementation and measurementFacilitation of focus groups and feedback gathering sessionsMigration activities surrounding SharePoint 2003 and SharePoint 2010Writing and editingMessage developmentCreative brandingStakeholder relationship managementInternal communication planning and executionTraining and user on-boarding
