Weekly gathering on Wednesday's with children (ages 4-14) to work on an immersive art and science project. Not limited too but included:Art Projects included: batik fabric painting, paper mache animals, low fire ceramics pottery, low fire ceramics glazing, old book repurposing to create, paper chains, yarn animals, jewelry making, winter crafting, photo of old painting reenacted, marionette puppets, pointilism and watercolor, felt stuffed animal sewing, abstract cell painting, tile creation with patterns in natureScience Projects: roller coaster physics and creation, homo-polar motor creation, arches, compasses and treasure maps, classic one variable science experiment with scientific method and future experimentation, bath bombs, popsicle stick catapults, water xylophones, diffusion and skittles, buoyancy and boats (weight, volume, mass) competition, investigating patterns in nature in a giant sunflowerWe also did some extra things like: wrote, edited, illustrated and bound our own books. We hunted mushrooms, truffles, and local edibles.

-Tutoring in the upcoming 2022-2023 year with Classical Conversations Aloha Friday Coop. -Guiding parents and students through an interactive introduction of the weekly curriculum. -adding activities to demonstrate to parents how to help their child learn at home-creating a joyful space to allow each child and parent to be part of community and grow beautifully-curriculum includes: grammar, latin, math facts, science topics, history sentence, geography, student presentations, science demonstration, fine arts (principles of drawing and fine artists techniques), tin whistle, music appreciation-this isn't a teaching but rather a tutoring position where the work is focused on teaching the parent through demonstration how to facilitate learning at home.

My course is designed to introduce students to the major schools of thought in psychology, cognitive development, abnormal behavior, as well as new ways of thinking and perceiving the world. My goal is that each student will be more understanding and accepting of others with different backgrounds. I hope that each student is inspired to pursue more courses in psychology at a high level of education. Using an old college textbook I introduced students to the world of mental health and development. Using this class as a college prep course I had my students do assignments geared towards college sophomores involving topics like Animal Behavior, the development of the DSM manual and the removal and addition of disorders through political actions. We visited animal research facilities to better understand how we study behavior. I had my students conduct research and submit material showing that their methods would cause no harm to their subjects. It was a super fun experience for me as a teacher to have a limitless ability to develop my student's abilities through a very broad topic.
