I work at Susan's Place, Max's Place, Bailey's Shelter, and Garland, which encompasses permanent and temporary housing. My duties involve handling incoming phone calls from both residents and external parties. Acting as the first point of contact, I approach these interactions with care and professionalism, providing accurate information and addressing inquiries promptly. Whether it entails communicating bed availability or addressing concerns over safety, I aim to ensure that all individuals reaching out for assistance receive comprehensive and compassionate guidance.

I collaborated with student and staff to create and execute large scale events. I also mediated conflict between residents and assisted residents during mental health emergencies. Overall, my experience as a resident assistant has been instrumental in developing strong teamwork, conflict resolution, and crisis management skills. These skills have not only equipped me to navigate challenging situations effectively but also enabled me to create a conducive and supportive living environment for the residents under my care. A key accomplishment within my role as a center mentor has been curating the required readings for courses in the Women and Gender Studies program. I compiled an extensive list of required readings over the past five years to be added to the center library. By continually adding relevant books and resources to the library's collection, I have ensured that students and researchers have access to a wide range of materials that foster critical thinking and academic exploration. Furthermore, I have utilized social media platforms to write promotional blurbs for library highlights, effectively highlighting the invaluable resources available and attracting more visitors to the center's library.
