NorthOne is a neo-bank that focuses on enabling small and medium businesses to succeed by providing a feature-rich mobile app.My responsibilities were split between developing features, co-leading my pod of developers and collaborating with developers outside of my pod to create language-specific best practices for developers throughout NorthOne. Some notable features I contributed include:- Error Enrichment using AWS Xray and forwarding context-aware information- Interaction tracking that logged how a user interacted with an alert and would re-send critical alerts that had not been actioned.- Coached and assisted an intermediate developer through designing and executing a dynamic marketing tool that enabled the creation of promotions.

I worked with Magnifi building their KnowledgeSuite.My core responsibilities at Magnifi included: - Mentoring Junior & Intermediate developers in various parts of development. - Developed & implemented core features including: - Calendar integrations for Office 365 & Google Calendar - Improving our video chat functionality with tools like Speaker Highlighting - Leveraging Ruby on Rails' Asset Pipeline to improve page load time- Led the transition from Embedded Ruby templates to a tailormade React front-endOutside of my typical developer responsibilities I also worked with the leadership team to implement a proper agile framework that prevented duplicate ticket creation, minimized developer burnout and improved the leadership team's visibility for team capacity.
