I have been asked to manage a team (approx. 40 people) working mainly on projects in the connected vehicle domain: from SW modules inside the car, to corresponding backend systems and mobile/web applications. My tasks included, above all, ensuring the timely delivery and its quality for all of the projects of the unit, people management and business development, but also the recruiting, working on internal R&D activities and accounting.

I have been involved in various activities, mainly in the automotive domain. In addition to my main role as a Scrum Master, I have been tasked with answering some tenders and coordinating internal projects.

As the Scrum Master for the three development teams in the onboard SW Factory for the FCA Connectivity group, I have coordinated the implementation of applications for both the in-vehicle infotainment system (Android based) and the telematics box (C++) as well as for a testing framework for these systems.My main responsibilites were the team management, supporting in architectural decisions and problem solving, and acting as an interface towards the external stakeholders for the team.

In addition to the coding tasks I was involved in other activities, such as: - Team Management: organization of the work and handling of the SW development process with Agile methodologies (Scrum framework, Atlassian suite); - Recruiting and Training: took many interviews to select new colleagues, both in Italy and Romania offices, and then led their training; - Customers and Suppliers Relationships: attended periodic meetings with customers and Suppliers to co-design the HMI, define and refine specifications an requirements.

In the HMI team I worked mostly to the User Interface for the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio infotainment systems. - SW Architecture: I contributed to the definition of the internal structure of the HMI module, creating a complex, dedicated framework, able to handle several panels and use cases; - HTML5/JavaScript development: I worked on many HMI components, writing highly optimized code matching target performances on an embedded system; - Demo and Android Automotive: I participated to developing some proofs of concept based both either on web technologies or on Android Automotive.

Mainly consulting at Magneti Marelli as HMI developer.I created an Android demo app for online banking with biometrics login (Face and Voice recognition) and contributed to other Android apps.

Designed and developed a SW prototype to demonstrate the opportunities given by web technologies in the automotive field. The module was installed in an Infotainment system (linux-based) and was composed of: - a C++ back-end (with Qt libraries) in charge of connecting to low level APIs and offer the functionalities of a browser web; - a User Interface (HTML5/JavaScript) giving access to some of the most commonly used system features (multimedia, radio, …).
