Electrical Engineer
CurrentDesigning electrical systems for conveyor, PLC programming (Allen Bradley), using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical to create drawings, and traveling to customer facilities to implement the system.• Using AutoCAD for electrical design including device layout, schematic and control panel designand communication architecture• Configuring standard PLC programs for real-time control of automated equipment and collectionof diagnostic and production data• Creating application programs for Human Machine Interface screen design• Customizing standard products to meet the requirements of each project• Develop application programs to control automated equipment based upon specific electricaland mechanical system design as well as operational requirements• Component selection and bill of material preparation• Writing interfaces to devices such as network I/O, variable frequency drives, camera and laserscanner ID systems, and scales• Conducting in-house preliminary testing and onsite testing of the system as installed at thecustomer’s facility• Interact with mechanical engineering, control panel fabrication and electrical installationpersonnel• Providing customer training and continued support for finished projects• Generating project specific documentation using standard company formats• Meeting with both client and internal project teams to define applications and producefunctional specification documents
