I have had past work experience that has involved analytical forecasting and consulting positions for Edmonton Transit Services and Quebec’s Ministry of Transport. I have also held production and planning positions at All Canadian Gear, an Edmonton based promotional apparel company, where I acted as a Sales Coordinator, and OEM Remanufacturing, a company specializing in the repairs of the Caterpillar products. Finally, I have managed various operations management courses while attending the School of Business at the University of Alberta, which involved both teaching introductory lab components and acting as a grading manager for hundreds of students. Since moving to Vancouver Island in early 2010, I took a small hiatus and pursued a more active liftesyle as a ski patroller at Mount Washington Alpine Resort. During my time there, I worked my way up to being a member of the avalanche control team as well as a senior member of the patrol team. Most recently, I have been working in the fast paced brewery industry, having worked with both Gladstone Brewing out of Courtenay, British Columbia and Land & Sea Brewing in Comox, British Columbia. For Land & Sea Brewing, I was lucky enough to be brought on board before they opened and helped them get their draught system built and tested, finished up the construction of the tasting lounge, created the entire front of house serving procedures, and hired a small team to be the face of the business. I am heavily vested in social media and technology, and have managed the online promotions and events of Tourism Mount Washington, Comox Valley Airport, and through Snowseekers Media. In addition, I utilize Tumblr, Twitter, Vimeo, and other social media websites as a means for self-learning and participation in local and global events. In my free time, I enjoy documenting my experiences, both by film and photographs and share these both through online mediums. Furthermore, I follow tech news closely via reddit and other online aggregate sites and am constantly on the lookout for new and exciting trends in technology and hardware.
