Resource Protection Specialist
CurrentAm currently serving as the California Desert District Program Lead for the Abandoned Mine Lands and the Hazmat Programs on Public Lands in the California Desert. I have created and implement a plan to safeguard (remediate) physical safety hazards associated with over 12,000 Abandoned Mine Land sites on Public Lands in SoCal. As a BLM Range Conservationist in the Farmington Field Office, I was involved in preserving, developing and managing rangelands. This includes studying and analyzing vegetative resources, developing grazing plans, establishing standards for rangeland use and conservation, and advising State Officials in rangeland management practices. I maintained a strong working relationship with the San Juan Basin Livestock Association and Navajo Grazers that fostered sound range management on 1.2 million surface acres in NW NM. Most problems can be fixed with a little common sense, trust, and initiative.
