As a college graduate from California State University San Bernardino majoring in Kinesiology: Allied Health & Science I have spent the past 4 years expanding my knowledge in the field. My desire is to apply my knowledge to the field of Prosthetics & Orthotics after graduating. I also have spent my time as an undergraduate pursuing a minor in Japanese. Since then Japanese has become a second language to me and now I help tutor students for the Department of World Language & Literature who are struggling in the classes that I once had to take.In the near future, I hope to be able to apply my education, work experience, and skills to the field of Prosthetics & Orthotics. I am currently looking to assist as an intern or volunteer in a Prosthetics & Orthotics clinic while I apply for graduate school. My experience in customer service as a Team Member at Chick-Fil-A and as a Japanese Language Tutor has help me improve my communication skills and interpersonal skills to be better prepared for the clinical side of the field. On top of that, having Japanese as a second language will give me access to a wider client basis and client outreach. As for the technical side of the field, my experience as Flooring Contractor has taught me how to be practical, methodical, and detail oriented with the floor patterns I’ve designed and for their installation. I believe that my skills in designing and manual installation would transfer greatly to the manufacturing process of Orthotics and Prosthetics.
