Hello, my name is Chris Stetzel. I was born and raised in McCook Nebraska. I graduated from McCook Jr/Sr High in 2000. I attended McCook Community College and graduated with my Associate's degree in 2002. I remained at MCC for an additional year. In May 2003 I attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney. In August 2004 I was given the opportunity to participate in a Walt Disney World internship, which I graciously accepted. I returned to the University of Nebraska in January 2005. After a year, I took a one-year break to evaluate my life and determine if school was the right path. I then returned to UNK in August 2007. I continued to struggle in my chosen degree, so I looked at other courses of study and found Organizational Communications. I changed major and was able to graduate with my Bachelor of Science degree in December 2009.Many people ask why is getting a bachelor's degree such a big thing for me. To many, it isn't. But to me, it's one of my biggest accomplishments. In Jr. High, they found out I was Dyslexic and was told that I needed to look into a Trade School because that would be the highest education I would ever be able to get. I was also the first one in my entire family to get a bachelor's degree.
