CurrentStevan manages a national commercial litigation practice with a special emphasis in transportation and construction law. He is an active member of the Utah Bar Association construction section, the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA) and Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA). He was previously the co-chair of the TLA’s Logistics and E-Commerce Committee (2010-2018) and just finished a two-year position as a voting member on the TLA Executive Committee.Stevan and his team of attorneys and paralegals work with freight brokers and trucking companies to help them manage the risks inherent in the transportation industry. This includes advising brokers, freight forwarders, shippers, carriers, and warehouses as they navigate complex cargo and casualty claims, providing insurance coverage analysis when cargo or casualty claims arise, and drafting transportation contracts that contemplate and mitigate risk before it occurs.Stevan and his team also provide experienced and aggressive advice and representation to project owners, general contractors, material suppliers, engineering firms, and other construction services professionals on local, national, and international projects. Stevan has successfully helped his clients work through complicated insurance coverage disputes, performance bond negotiations, contract negotiations, project workouts, lien foreclosures, bond claims, and land use issues.
